if u guys can help me find some info on this as i dont have much time with paint prep and finishing the 3vze. I would consider this as the 3.0 is gutless and the emissions is a pain in the ass

Yes its the holy grail of inline turbo motors. Capable of 600whp on stock internals with a big single turbo and more fuel mods.

Very expensive motor to buy, and build up. Also ton of custom work to fit in a 4runner. Barely fits. Think you have to like cut out 4'' out of the front to fit the radiator alone.

Its not easy..i have looked into swapping my 7mgte(the other 3.0l inline supra motor that was before the 1jz) from my 87 supra..its easier then a 2jz but still a ton of work. Would be fun to have my 500hp motor in there tho

Im just going to rear mount turbo my 5vzfe instead. Much easier and still able to get 300hp outa it on stock internals.

All in all..2jz is sweet...but REALLY pricey. Parts are ridiculous.

Doing a 7m swap insn't as bad, much cheaper parts. however requires more love and attention to keep reliable. Its just as a reliable motor..just need a bit more attention and doesn't like being neglected as much.

When I first started my Supra I thought about doing the 2jz swap but the price did make me think twice about it. It really depends on how much you want to spend:rolleyes: When I was looking I found a 2jz jdm motor, tranny, wire harness and computer for $2500.00:)

thats really not that bad if you think about it, even rebuilding the 3vze i have 600 into the heads another 450 into the block. right there im just over a grand. If I finish the 3vze and sell it, i wouldnt have much to come up with. the only problem i have is time. I dont have a rig right now so getting this one going is my main priority

    Yea that seems right.

id rather buy a front flip tho of an artro 2jz so that you get all the wiring and van lines and shit. thats like 3000 plus shipping.

Its not terrible..espcieally if its just going strait back in a supra :p making it fit in you 4runner tho...gonna cost a bit more, plus you'd need a custom bell housing for the tranny...hell I'm not sure if the 2jz 6 speed would even bolt up to the transfer case..in which case you'd have to get an r154..and custom bell housing..then there is motor mounts...pipe routing..sheesh..to much haha

Here is a review. And yes they are made off shore

    -Mar 18, 2009

Toyota 4x4 mini-truck owners now have another rear bumper option available to them with the release of this new Trail Gear unit. I'm an old time mini guy (hence why I say "mini") and I'm continually astounded by the range of off the shelf products being offered for the Toyota 4x4 market. This bumper is a good example of this, constructed of DOM tubing in 1.75" O.D. x .120 wall thickness and built up in the right areas to protect the vulnerable bed corners. It would be expensive to one-off a bumper like this for yourself but thanks to economies of scale and off-shore production these bumpers are available at a totally painless price.
