Today im about to buy a 2004 DR 650se. I have been looking for a while for a larger dual Sport and they are hard to find with low miles. I found this one for 2600.00 and I am about to buy it this morning. It has 1700 miles on it with original tires.

He wont budge on the price, and I know there are folks waiting behind me to get this if I dont. Is this a decent price...

If it runs well, tires are in good shape and is in excellent condition, I'd say he's probably priced right where he should be, maybe a tad on the upper end. KBB puts this bike in excellent condition at $2,900 retail. It is rare to find one with such low miles and it looks like it's damn near in showroom condition!

    Thanks Mike...

Im gonna pull the trigger. Thanks for yesterdays help too. I drove about 80 miles yesterday to get the bike, when I got there the battery was dead. The guy felt bad and said he will put a brand new battery in, truck the bike to my house today to test ride it.... and If Ilike it then I could buy it. He said if i dont like it....no problem, he has to come into town anyway. So he is buying a battery and delivering it.

It looks good. I had a Kawasaki KLR 650 which is a very similar bike, so I am more familiar with those prices, but it is about the same ball park.

    Enjoy it!

You won't have any regrets with that bike. I have a DRZ 400S and I love it, Suzuki makes the best enduros on the market (with the exception of KTM maybe) but for the price, suizuki is really the only clear choice in my opinion. 2600 is a good price for that bike, my 400 is a 2002 and I bought it about 3 years ago with those same miles for 2300 (plus traded the guy an old 1981 xr80) so you did well on price.

That's a pretty good deal! No kick start on that bike as a backup? That bike reminds me of my old XT 350. Those dual sports are a lot of fun to ride, I'd get another in a heartbeat if I could justify 2 bikes. Enjoy the ride, hopefully it works out

My xt 250 had no kick either. Just spoke to the guy, we made plans for tomorrow due to it snowed here last night. I will update then.

my 400 didn't have a kickstart on it either, you can add them in yourself though, a bit of a daunting process for me since I don't know a whole lot about engines and you have to take everything apart even the clutch and get in there. $200 for the kickstart mod and took about 2 hours to install and put the bike back together, I saw a step by step instruction online with pictures which helped.
