    New guy to tacoworld.
    Im lookin to go higher!
I have toytech coilovers on front, and complete new leaf packs from OME on the rear. I am looking to add 1 or 2 more inches to that. Is it possible with spacers or any other hardware?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    ^that^

You're only looking for trouble (component failure) if you stack a suspension lift.

You could add a body lift if you really want it that bad.

Why do you want more lift? Bigger tires? Get the razor out and start trimming.

The problem is I have to much tire rub. I would like to just raise it enough to have more clearance. Add one inch suspension if possible!

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
What wheels and tire are you running? Is this street rubbing or off road?

Yes, that is the main problem.
    I have BFG'S ALL TERRAIN LT285 75 R16, and MOTO METAL 955's.
Rubs on the frame when I turn fully, no rubbing on fenders when im on street, but rubs on fenders when im on drit.

Have you done the pinch weld mod yet (pound down/ground down the pinch weld in the wheel well) and Wheel spacers like spider trax will stop you from rubbing on your frame.

More lift wont stop the wheels from rubbing the frame, and some simple hand tool work will help you avoid having to run a POS body lift.

More lift really won't help you. The problem is your wheels. The 955's are a 4.5" backspacing. Magic number on a first gen for 285's is 4" BS.
Hell I still used to rub the frame even with the 4" when wheeling (full lock/compression).

My guess is your rubbing on the frame behind the wheels (closer to the cab of the truck. You can try getting some aftermarket UCA's and get your alignment shop to add some caster, but you'll most likely still rub with the 4.5" BS.

No mods in wheel wells yet.
What are the dimensions on the spider trax?

i can live with alittle tire rub on the frame, my main concern is ripping out my fenders. A body lift would help, but im try to stay with suspension lift. If I max out the hight of the coilovers in front, is there an easy fix for the rear?

The following thread will help you with the rear. I followed the suggestions and re-formed my fender flares with a heat gun to alleviate the rubbing.

    http://www.expeditionswest.com/equipment/tacoma/bfg_mt_km.html

The front will require modifying the pinch weld ( I removed mine) and trimming some plastic. On my truck, I have to modify/remove the windshield washer reservoir. Your results may vary.

The lift will only help you until you flex the suspension enough to bring the tire in contact with the body. The only that changes is where in your suspension travel it occurs. No way to get rid of it entirely without trimming.

Thanks! That looks like a great start.
Just curious.. has anybody successfully reshaped color coded fenders with a heat gun enough to add a considerable amount of clearance?

Everyone else has already covered the front.

Do you have the extra leaf for your OME's yet? That will bring the back up a lot. I got over an inch from the extra leaf. And I have a DC w/ a shell and and a rear bumper. It's perfect when I load the truck up or put a motorcycle in the back, but it sits kinda high with just the shell.

    Or a shackle.

Then you could add the OME extra leaf. It's cheap and gave me at least an inch. But unless you have weight on the rear it may sit up too high. Like I said I have some weight on mine and it still sits too high in the back. The problem, as already mentioned, you can only lift the front so much without running into problems.
