Maxtrac Spindle Lift for 2nd Gen Prerunners

Yea im gonna take it to a shop and have them break them loose, I may still do it but im getting delayed a little today, were taking my parents dog to the vet and probably putting her down so may not get to it today

So the wheel spacers got to be removed for the install right?

 

You have to remove the wheel spacers to get the dust shield off if I remember correctly. Also the threaded hole to pop the rotor off is there as well.

 

Cool, I think I'll be installing the spindles, UCAs, leafs and flip kit tomorrow. Don't know if I'll have it done early enough to get it aligned same day....

I need to try and test for measurements for rear to figure out what shock I need. Hope I can lift it on one tire on the lift easy, I worry of it fallin off haha...

 

Having done it once I could knock that all out in no time flat, but I separated it into 2 days on purpose, but I won't preach to you, to each his own.

on a side note, i bought and installed blemished 1.25" spidertrax from their website...i wouldn' call them blemished...they're perfect...just noticed some paint scraped inside one of the holes...anyway, i can confirm that these will even the stance with the front perfectly...i'll take pics in the AM..

I'm sort of on the outskirts toward buena park, brookhurst and orangethrope. I use to live in a bachelor pad by the college off 57 and nutwood but I'm settling down now and trying to keep myself out of trouble, staying away from the downtown fullerton bar scene

Just something I noticed gents to keep an eye out for, on my driver's side I noticed that when I go full lock left, the upper "arm" if you will of the brake line mount that you remove from the stock spindle, bend the tab, and then replace on the Maxtrac spindle was hitting my Sway Bar connector. I just quickly took the dremel to it and cut it off both sides. I'll make it look pretty when I get a free chance. I think this is something I would recommend doing during the install. I also noticed on the right side, the little plastic insert that is in the lower "arm" if you will, on the same brake line adaptor, was rubbing my brake line, presumably during turns. It had chaffed the clear plastic cover of the brake line in a small spot. Recommend removing it as well...as easy as pulling it out...and monitoring everything overall for "chaffing." I obviously did a poor initial job but had planned on getting up under there and checking all again.
