For the front diff (4.56s / Spartan Locker), diff drop, 4wd spindles, new CV's, rebuilt hubs and all bolts/hardware $800 if you pick it up. I paid $600 for everything and I've dropped at least $800 in if since I got it. I did new wheel bearings last march. It's ready to go, just bolt it up.

Ok, so I'm pretty well sick and tired of Trail-Gear... after looking over everything, running number and a lot of consideration, my fab guy thinks that I would be better of running a 3-link in the front with a coilover setup. He says that he can build me a 3-link setup for less that half of what he thinks it would take to do the Trail-Gear kit... a lot of fab work is involved with it, replacing the radiator and also would have to re-do my front bumper.

Thanks man I really appreciate it!

I'm going to go with the high steer setup with the FJ80 ends or heim joints. With the amount of travel I'm looking at it shouldn't cause an issue. I'm only going to be running a 12" travel coilover.

I have already had the whole front end "called dibs". EL TACOROJO is getting the front differential and all the goodies that go with it and a guy locally is getting the coilovers and UCA's. This should help get things going pretty quick. I'm going to try and have the gear driven case geared to 4.7 and installed here in the next two to three weeks. After that I'm going to go ahead and convert it back to 2wd so I can get all the suspension parts, coilovers, knuckles, axle rebuild kit on the way.

Hey just curious! See my rig, I'm thinking about lifting it a bit. Maybe something like your 3". Will doing the Bilsteins all around give me that addition by itself?

Oh and if I were to lift it a couple or a few inches. Would wheel spacers make it look better, since I can't afford to get bigger tires right now?

If it were me... having done an "economy lift", I would just save up and all at one time do it right the first time. Do the Bilstein 5100's and Eibachs up front, or go all out and do the coilovers (well worth the cash!). Get a add-a-leaf for the rear and long shocks (bilstein as well).

As far as tires I wouldn't run wheel spacers just because... but that's your call on that one.

Thanks, I have had a lot of good times with this truck and it's been a fun build, but there's still a lot to do

My gears (case and diff), adapter and drive shaft will be here Wednesday, according to UPS. I'm going to try and clean up the case this afernoon/next few days to get it ready to drop off to be geared. Then here in the next two to three weeks the adapters going in. It's hit the no turning back point... :D

Got some inspiration today by riding around with my buddy in his newly SASed 4runner. It turned out pretty good and it should be interesting to see what it will do offroad.

Got the case out and cleaned it off as much as I could/wanted to. Not perfect but better than it was... I used some B52 degreaser, that stuff is awesome!

It should be 2wd here in two weeks or so. When do you want to come get the front drive?
