How long is your pay period? One week or two? Why would you want to forget THAT? I worked 82 hours in the past week (one pay period). It just proves that I've earned my living and I feel good that I was able to do it. Tired, but good. No need to forget that.

The more you work, the faster you can pay off that house with a double principal. That's what I did.

Not living to work, living to live. I'll be able to retire in 4 years and be secure. At this point I owe nothing. If I die tomorrow, my family is set. And they don't even know it. :D

Ahh I see where you're coming from. Good plan. I just prefer having that extra time at home with the boys so we can gang up and piss mama off. I was just teaching them flanking tactics. She got drenched with the supersoakers while she was doing dishes the other day.
If I die tomorrow my wife's a millionare. Don't tell her that tho :spy:

You are a good dad. :) Spending time with the kids is VERY important. The bond remains strong as well as the good morals and family base. It's hard nowadays with the outside influences and the exposure to things undesirable that us parents see. So many parents DON'T take the time to form that strength and/or they don't see how the kids start to slip away. So many parents don't know their kids or don't even take the time to listen or show an interest in their lives, nor support them as they grow. Family values.

When the boys were young, I worked part time because I didn't want to pay someone else to raise them. Today, they are strong, secure, law abiding and giving young adults who have empathy and compassion for those in need. They contribute to the community in many ways with projects that help benefit those who are less fortunate or unable to help themselves. I am very lucky. They turned out really good. Respectful, never have been in trouble and are always willing to help out others. The older one worked while in school and paid his own way through college as well as his own living expenses. The younger one is aiming toward medical school within the next couple of years. I'm very blessed.

Which is why I can now direct my purpose to providing for them beyond my existence.
