Help! Trying to do led swap on my clock (2010) and I can't figure out how to get this apart. Removed the small screw and pushed white tabs through, but all the contacts for the LCD screen seem solid. Should they pull through??

If its the same as the odo then yes. Take a ultra small flat head and pry up under the screen with out putting too much pressure on it. Just keep working at it til it pulls out. Make sure not to bend the leads at all.

When u put it back take the screw driver and push the top of each lead back in, with out bending them.

Take your time with this.

used a medium sized flat head screw driver and twisted it between the white and off white very gently and moved it over and did it again all the way across. came out very easily like this.

Ya, need a steady hand. alcohol usually helps

Make sure you know which side is positive and Negative. Negative is the cutout triangel side or is marked. Touch one side and pull it up using pliers. then go to the next, heat and pull.

Make sure the right amount of solder is on the lead, not too much. Then use pliers to position the led in place. Solder one side, make sure its flush, solder the other, then solder the first again if necessary.

Again take your time, took me a couple hours to do my cluster.
