    Planning on hiking for a couple weeks in April, and was going to do it in conjunction with the Gulches meet, but they can't seem to decide on a date.

    John, gears should be about half that 2k. You can spend some of the other little bit on a snorkel.

    I'm still hemming and hawing over a front locker, in which case gears would take about the whole tax return.

    An sPOD is definitely going to get purchased so I can get some electrical stuff wired up. If I don't jump for gears, I'll probably go ahead and get a few other less expensive items. The leading candidates:

    - OBA and Snorkel

    or

    - Winch and Cradle


    I'm mulling my options. It'll be a few weeks at least before I decide.
