    Not a question. GTFO ;)

This coming summer we will be in Toronto for a few days. Any recomendations for things to see and do?

Also any pretty neat hotels to say at? A hotel with a view or another outstanding feature.

I was there about 20 years ago and it seemed like a nice city at the time.

Better healthcare. For everyone and not as slow as they say.
The U.S. government is 100% of its GDP in debt. One of the highest in the world. Canada has 1/3 of our GDP of debt we have this too keep our dollar devalued as we are an export driven economy. Unemployment rate in the U.S. is 9%. Canadian is 6-7% Alberta is 2.3%. Foreign people have higher opinions of Canadians then Americans. My education is heavily subsidized.

We have 1/3 of the worlds fresh water. And less then .001 of the world population. We have the second highest oil reserves in the world and we keep finding more and more. While production in Suadia Arabia has peaked. We have the largest source of soft wood lumber. We have almost every other natural resource in abundant supply uranium, livestock, fish, coal etc.

We have never lost a war. Infact Canada defeated the U.S. in the war of 1812. You invaded. We pushed you back to the whitehouse burnt it down and went home and got hammered. Btw white house was originally pink so your welcome.

Ranked number one for education in the world. Fastest growing population and economy in the g8. Voted best place to life 7 years in a row. Hugely diverse landscape. Low crime. Seriously I'm from red deer ranked 4 worst city for crime in Canada and its not even bad at all actually one of the nicest places to live.

Best hockey players. More relaxed laws about drugs on the federal government. No border issues. Well just Americans trying to get into Canada. I pay more in taxes yes. However I make more then the average American working in Alberta's oilfield starting at 65,000 a year. We have a smaller gap between rich and poor.

    Well that's enough

Well, I have decided I'm going to take a trip to Vancouver for 4 or 5 days, sometime in summer, July or August, and I'm hoping you guys can give me some pointers on where to go.
First off, is there anywhere near the center of Vancouver that isn't too expensive to stay?
WHat are some "must do" things?
Are there any day trips or places near Vancouver that I should visit?
I'm not too big on the touristy stuff, but I don't what else there would be to see otherwise. Thanks.

Id say the Marriot or even the Pan pacific if you can get a good price. Stanly park, Sunset beach, granville island and kits are good. Theres ferries in English bay. Theres also Kyaking which is cool. Whale watching is a possibality. Not sure if you can go from Vancouver or not. If its in the summer, take in a Lions CFL game, its good football.

If your looking for clubs, there all on Granville st. Shoppings on Robson st and at pacific centre mall. Its not hard to meet women. Restaurnats like Earls, cactus club are usually regualrs for me. Seafood and sushi is some of the best in the world. High end restaurants are Gotham, Joe fortes, shore club, tojos sushi.

Whistler or Grouse mountain are possible. Whistler is about 2 hours away. Think theres a bus. Up there, golf, hiking, mountain biking. Clubs and bars are nice up there. Usually see bears and other wildlife too.

Vancouvers really pricy. If you dont want to spend huge amounts, plan ahead, know what you want to do.

I'd hit Canmore before Banff. Banff is in the National Park so you have to buy a park pass. And it's really touristy. Canmore isn't.
