    BUILT, not bought...
This morning I muffed up, and bought the wrong battery... (I see top posts, I figure what the fuck...the terminals are good to go) WRONG +/- sides.

I contacted the terminals for maybe 2 seconds. BAM, fryed the 120 fuse, a 30, and a 10 amp fuse.

I cant even describe to you right now how angry I am. I obviosuly went and swapped for the correct battery. then I had to drive to TWO different dealerships to buy the replacement fuses. Now I am fighting with the fuse box, so I can get to the two BOLTS (WTF over!?!?) that hold the 120 in. WHo uses a bolt to hold a fuse in?!?!

I have been fighitn with the fucking fuse box for over 2 hours now. I cannot get to the bolt that holds these cocksuckers in.

This is total Bullspit. Who the fuck decided there needs to be 10trillion different fucking batteries?!?

Until the 120 amp fuse is replaced, you wont be able to know if any other damage was done....:(

Hooking up my autometer guages i poppped the big one for lights, horn, starter etc. I was so pissed off at myself/my truck i didnt touch it for 2 days..I drove my old 4runner. When i finally calmed down and gently took the fuses out, they were a stupid $10 for all of them..(every fuse i buy, ill buy 2 or 3 incase im stupid again)

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
My advice: drink a few beers, watch a movie, or something else. Then come back. Usually you'll figure it out better that way and cool down. I tell you what, it could have been a lot worse. One time I somehow connected the battery backwards in my friend's 63 Corvair I was fixing for him. I fried pretty much ALL the wiring, the alt, voltage regulator, and the relays. ALL of it had to be replaced. Took me all weekend to do it too.

with the help of the neighboor girl, I managed to get both bolts out the new fuse in, and the bolts back in.

I cut the plastic in the fuse box so i could navigate the wrech in there. I couldnt seperate the inner fuse tray from the case..my fingers are bleeding from prying them apart.

    Time for a fucking beer.

Did something similar with a 91 Camry. I was trying to save money and blew the fuse on the battery cable. I think it was only $12 or so. I was pretty relieved when I got it going.

I did get the fuse replaced with a little cutting of the fuse box. good as new.

Almost three years on that battery. I was hard on it...
