Spinning cookies in the snow and hit a curb. Popped my rear shock out. And now missing a bolt. How do I get it back in?

Billy 5100's? Looks like you're also running a 3 inch leaf pack. Prolly topped out the shock and it snapped at the joint. Replace the rear pair with Billy 5125's which are of longer length than the 5100's and you don't have to worry about topping it out again.

The rear are 5150s. Ideas on replacing the one or both?

Number 1, stop doing donuts in parking lot, when you slammed into curb you probably forced your springs up & your left side of truck kept going left & your axle was stopped against curb causing it to snap

p.s. I'd look for other damage too, you had to hit awfully hard to do that, may havre even sheared an axle pin

x2, you had to hit pretty damn hard to do that. Hopefully all you did was top out the shock and snap the shock.

Hey man if you have the 5150s they are prolly the 10' travel so most likely you compressed them to much rather than topped out. DID you modify the bump stops to accomodate those 5150??? If not than that is it and you need to remeasure and put in taller bumstops. Or it will keep happening with any big compression like a curb at speed.! If they are the the 10' 5150 they extend to 26+ so that is great but of course the compressed length is longer as well!

If you did put in right sized bumps then it has somethin to do with bein sideways and in donut turn and hittin curb. Like 4wd said look for other damage cause if was from a sideways slide it is very likely you broke something else as well. So if i were you i would get up under ther and check for play in everything from carrier bearing back. Play in rear wheels, driveline, joints slip yoke, loose or broke bolts, check leafs and shackle mounts all of it man. I had something similar happen once and actually broke the oil seal behind rear hub and leaked diff fluid. So just check it all out. Adn then remeasure and make sure your shocks actually fit your compressed and extended lengths! Good luck bud!
