So I have been thinking about selling the truck and buying a STI. The only problem I am facing is selling the truck for what I want for it and my insurance is going to be high.

And I have put A LOT of money into the truck already. Thought anyone?

I'd have to agree with Wolfpack. I've had a mustang and a sport bike. I was constantly being harassed or doing something stupid with both of them.

The taco is just as much fun if not more and your insurance/dmv premiums will thank you...

Depends... If you need a pickup, the STi won't do. If you can get away with only having a car, and are responsible enough to have the STi and not do stupid shit with it, then go for it! Keep in mind the STi has more expensive components than it's WRX siblings.

Cops mostly and friends always wanted rides on the bike so I turned it into a one seater.

I've looked at the STI many times and if your going to run it on the track I'd say go for it. But if your just going to gun it at stop lights keep the truck

I sold my sti for my Tacoma. The sti would be a great second vehicle, but I didn't like it as a DD. No room, stiff ride, poor manners in 1st and 2nd gear, cops follow you around town waiting for you to do something stupid. It was great for having fun, and that was about it.

I'd never want a car like that as a DD. Although I know a few who have them as just that. If I can only have one vehicle it will always be a truck. I'd love to get a second fun vehicle but don't feel like taking on a car note. For me it would probably be a new Mustang GT, G37 coupe, or Genesis coupe.

But if that's what you want and you don't need a truck, go for it. Fun cars.

Buy an old one and race that one, then use your truck to tow the STi to the track

I had a yota pre taco. went to an suv then to a car. let me just say the few times I I hauled anything around that required space, the truck/suv came in handy... BIG TIME... I have had my Mazda 3 for a year and a half now and am selling it to get a 4runner or taco if I find a good deal to have some cargo space again.

    I say, keep the truck.

    WHAT A DEAL! DO IT!

and im pretty sure a tacoma couldnt handle a fully enclosed race trailer and everything else that needs to go with it to a rally race.
