Dont know an exact angle cause every truck will be a little different. But the best way to find the correct angle is to pull the leaf pack apart to the main leaf and cycle the suspension to full bump and full droop. While at full bump or droop swing the shock in an arc. Where the too arcs cross thats a good place to put the upper shock mount. Every leaf pack will be slightly different and every shock brand and length will cycle a little different.
Cool deal, Pictures can be deceiving sometimes.

No worries. I made mistakes in the past and still make mistakes. But if you learn from your mistakes thats all that matters. here is a rough drawing I made a few years ago kinda what I mean.

why not a hydro setup like the crawler Solid axle guys do? I personally don't know much about their steering rams but Idk why that wouldn't work unless they don't react fast enough then a steering quickener would need to be added

same. I figure it may be a start in the right area. and if the ram can handle 44s and big rocks the desert and 33s should be nothing for them

Yeah semi LT I guess.. were gonna do shock hoops and only cut into the bed a little bit to allow gusseting and a removable cross member for extra support when rhomping
