I do the skids about once a year. The rest of the frame and LCAs a little more often.

You sure? I got used-but-perfectly-sound LCAs in fine condition for $120 shipped to my door over them internets.

Aside from that, when I have some money just layin' the fuck around, the plan is to get the frame horns where the LCAs mount gusseted and then get some TC LCAs on there.

True, and rust works a little different for you north eastern fuckers.

Although the thing that never set right with me about LCA skids is all the LCA problems I've seen have been the mounting point ripping out.

FWIW I usually have the LCAs and (soon) a replacement third member in camp just in case. Not really likely enough to happen that I'll carry them on the trail with me, but it's good to have them where someone can ferry the part to you if you win the unlucky-lotto.

The LCAs. Only $1600 for the pair. That'll get you about halfway to an axle and do nothing to get it mounted for you :D

I has a stainless steel set from NASA on order

For real doe...John you wanna sell your extra set? I'm trying to get a set rebuilt. I would love to go the TC rout but $1500 mods only come maybe once a year for me..and plenty of other chit may should come first. Like winch, or lockers, or armor...shit the list is big

    JoeJoe you got PM.

Wish I had $1500 for LCAs myself, but not right now.

    Bigger fish to fry:

    - Gears
    - Leafs
    - Winch
    - OBA
    - Crawlbox

The top priority though with tax return is an sPOD so I can get an electrical basis for all the stuff listed above. Gonna get my lighting in order and then start doing something about the others.
