Does anyone have this lift?... and more ????

Well I am sure some people on here do but my real Q is, Will this be all I need to get 3'' lift? Are there any hidden cost involved such as UCA's break lines etc.? Will I need to do a diff drop (front or back)? Does it provide a good ride? what size tires did you go with? Any pics? I am getting ready to buy and I don't want any costly surprises. Installing difficulties?

I was looking at getting the same lift but decided to get this one. It has the axel shims and diff. drop which are needed IMO. The only thing that I need to get is new UCAs because of my 285 BFGs (Rubbing when making tight turns). As for the install the front coils are easy. The rear took a little time with the Add a leaf. In all it took me about 7 hours to do the install this weekend with help from two other people which have never done this.



Here is the end result.

 

Brake lines no. UCA's maybe. Most will say to not install the diff drop. You'll need access to a spring compressor since that kit doesnt come with the springs installed. 5100's ride smooth. Plenty of threads out there that should be helpful.

 

You need this kit if you want to be right at 3", the other one you listed will put you just shy.

At 3" of lift, you should get new UCA's for alignment purposes.

Don't waste your time with the differential drop for the front, it doesn't actually drop the differential, it just rotates it. For the rear, depending on how much lift you go for, you should make provisions for axle shims and install them later if you feel they're needed. When I say make provisions for, I mean get the extended collar for the shims now, that way if you want to install them later it's a much easier task.

Damn, that kit doesn't come preassembled? How much fun was it getting those springs compressed and mounted?

 

It does... I got the preassembled kit because I didnt want to deal with compressing the springs.
