Oh snap! Lets hope not, lol. I liked 'Dawn of the Dead', but the baby popping out of the oven as a zombie was about the dumbest moment in zombie movie history as there ever was. Even worse than the talking zombies in 'Return of the living Dead' or the zombie who figures out how to use a gun in 'Land of the Dead'. Argh!

OK....my new question is.....if they're wanting to start a new beginning.....why aren't they trying to find other survivors? Like The Stand.....or I Am Legend?
It seems all they want to do is go throug life in their group.
They automatically want to kill this kid they found.....they didn;t want to help the guys they met in the bar.
Of course everyone will be defensive and looking out for numero uno.....but there's a point when you need to say.....hey....let's rebuild society. Or hey.....let's get this group larger and stronger.

    Just my $.02

Nobody has mentioned it yet, but the two dead cops could have been some evil guys with a necrophilliac taste. People are that sick in the head and could be a way they got infected without getting bit. Similar stuff is referenced in a number of zombie novels that I have read.

I was wondering that last night as well.. What ever happened to that.

I think I'm starting to enjoy the talking dead more than the walking dead.

I think as a cop, Rick was picking up on the fact that the two dudes in the bar did not have the best intentions. I mean, hell, I didn't trust them after the first minute and I'm just a viewer. And based on the outcome, his spider sense was right.

They didn't trust the kid because he was with the two dudes that tried to kill them.

Think they are realizing that the zombie (the killer they know) are not as bad as some of the survivors (the killer they don't know). A global way of saying, 'The Living are more dangerous than the Living Dead'. At least you know the intentions of the zombies.

I agree with this.....but to me the kid has shown he wants to help.....but if you watch next week's preview.....it looks like they'll be kicking the shit out of him until the next episode.

And yeah....the dudes in the bar came off that way.....but like I said....when meeting strangers we would all be looking out for ourselves. To me Rick and the old man should have talked more without saying right off that bat....hell no you ain't coming with us. BUt it makes for good TV :D

Yes it does! :D To add to this, I think Rick inadvertantly showed Herschel the length's at which he would go to protect the farm and the people. Herschel respected this and put Rick squarely in his court.

Different note, does Shane not get the importance of having a doctor around, even if he is a vet? Keep the eff'ing doctor happy for the love of Pete.

Also, they kept the zombie blood off their skin. Basically wore the latest fashion of the day, Zombie trenchcoats.

they did a really good job of making those guys look like giant creeps from minute one. taking a leak on the floor in the middle of the bar, asking if there were any girls cause their friends needed to ring one out. All that really built up what Rick was 'sensing'.

all the times they've had zombies laying on them, or used them as quick cover (see T-dog after slitting his wrist on the interstate, or Rick last night) they surely got blood on them then. Hell look at Rick and Shane's faces or whats his faces (Damian) after they were fighting them off at the health dept.

Pretty sure the two zombie cops represented what could have been for Rick and Shane and seeing them is when he decided to go back for Shane

what's the deal with all the junk inside of the school bus like someone was holed up in there? I doubt they would have stayed there with a bunch of zombies walking around outside.

That whole place felt a lot differant than the hospital that shane and otis went to. Instead of all of them wandering around outside aimlessly, the many inside were just chilling out inside as if they were all inside when the infection hit them while the police were outside standing guard. Possibly more of the 'we're all infected' Jenner bit and the shot of the cans and empty food containers at the start of the location was showing they all starved to death and reanimated?

Someone on talking dead last night brought up a good point. Shane used the same knife that he was stabbing zombies with to cut open his hand during that scene when he was stuck in the bus.. There's a good chance he'd be infected now.

Seems like somebody was travelling in the school bus , and whoever was in there could have been the same people that burned the pile of bodies at that same place

Good point, and yea, you would think so. Some real viruses, like AIDS to a degree, cannot live outside the human body for very long. It can only live outside the body for a few hours in very high concentrations in a lab. So perhaps this 'zombie' virus pretty much dies when it hits oxygen? Maybe it has to be inserted directly into the bloodstream via a bite, or syringe, or....dare we say, things you shouldn't do to a zombie even if it is the zombie of Angelina Jolie.
