    Also thought people might find this beast interesting.

    It's the Martin AM Mauler. It was in the running against the Douglas
    AD-1 Skyraider for the new ground attack aircraft slot. What made the Mauler so impressive was the fact it was the largest single engine piston airplane ever made. It only saw limited service, and eventually lost to the Raider somehow, which had a lower top and cruising speed, less range, and less payload... Someone obviously thought the Skyraider was the better choice... don't know why... Anyway, here it is! :D

    That's awesome! Some amazing stories there I bet! I met a gentleman who literally flew everything but the p-38 back in ww2. He flew in the pacific theatre and also said the p-51 was his favorite along with the p-39 Aircobra.

    Haha! Seems familiar...:D

    Im not really super informed on the names and stuff, But i LOVE the all blacked out Air Force plane that is shaped like ^ that and i think it is used for stealth? It is really sharp my Cousin in the air force and i got to ride in a F-16... HOLY SHIT! Incredible.

    I'm kinda biased though, since my uncle flew them in Afghanistan and Iraq. He flew the F-117 in Yugoslavia, but prefers the A-10. Said the F-117 was 'boring'.:eek:
