OK , I already figured that out about 2 years ago

 

They turn into zombies mid-meal. Therefore, they lose their "appeal". Just a thought.

Us as in America, you know, privileged, over fed, under educated, arrogant to the point of hubris, bombastic and heavily armed....and we just don't understand why the rest of the planet doesn't just automatically love us!!!!

 

The ones that have been bit earlier from the group have taken days to go zombie. It seems as if having been bit but not gone zombie the other walkers would have to sense this or they'd continue biting, hence no skeletons.

 

I remember them answering that a while back on the talking dead.. Can't remember their reason as to why they were dead though.

 

What if it's a bite thing but only some people are susceptible to being infected upon death. Amy from season 1 (Andreas sister) was susceptible and once bitten became one. Random person in the car (I don't remember many dead on the highway, just a few) were not, got bitten and simply died.

I think Jenner's secret holds the key, it wasn't "Yo bitch be preggers and the baby is an asshole like Shane. Go Fig" so it has to be something about the infection. Maybe Jenner knows who's susceptible and who isn't and told Rick not to worry about himself and a select few.

MAybe Rick knows that he cannot get infected, but Shane can. When he showed Shane to cut himself to bait the walkers, he was setting him up to get infected. Shane becomes a walker, gets put down, problem solved.

 

No I think it's more assuming that their heart has stopped and they're neither warm blooded nor cold blooded but No blooded and would then freeze solid like someone said.

 

Maybe there is some serious over-thinking going on.

Lol no I am enjoying everyone's opinions on zombies. The possibilities with zombies are endless so reading everyone's different takes is cool.
