Coming into work this morning I was coming up on a Prius, I kept seeing flashes coming from the sides of it and was not sure what it was. As a pulled alongside, I nearly drove off the road laughing so damn hard. The funnier thing was as he was going over 55 MPH they both (Drivers and passenger side) were starting to oscillate and flap hence making the sides look like flashes from the behind cars headlights.
On a side note, so much for the Gas Milage rating....

    That's rich!
I love it when a hybrid rides my ass down the highway then passes. So much for saving gas.

@ still near 40mpg when passing, saving gas to me..., and riding behind creates aerodynamic contour to save on wind resistance, saving gas!

but those mirrors, i bet he just wants to see blind spots extra big

for some reason I suspect that the prius has better aerodynamics than one of those mirrors....

Maybe the driver has fused neck vertebra? Can't turn his head to check blind spots. (I'm mostly joking) I've always wondered why mirrors aren't mounted further forward like on older sports car, like the volve p1800. However that looks... Interesting.
