How about a section that details removal of commonly accessed maintenance areas for different truck types?

For example, air conditioning panel, front & rear/access door panels, radio removal, dash removal, etc. Then in the forum posts, we could just link to the removal instruction for a particular area and not have to rewrite all the removal steps. You'd just add what is different or the next step.

You'd want them generic and focusing on one task:
'05-08 Air Conditioning control panel removal
    '05-08 driver's/passenger door panel removal
'05-08 driver's/passenger rear door panel removal
'05-08 driver's/passenger access cab rear door panel removal

So, something like a radio removal would include a link to the air conditioning control panel removal procedure as one of it's steps.
    E.g.:
Step 1: perform the Air conditioning control panel removal procedure
    Step 2: remove the bolts
    etc

That way, if you were doing something that no one's done before you wouldn't have to remember what thread you saw the procedure in. As an silly example, if I was going to put a piezo chirper on the door locks, I could find the door panel removal instruction without having to remember that I saw the procedure in an audio thread.

It seems like a lot of up-front work but quite a few of these could probably be cut and pasted from prior posts.

Great idea! but who has the time? I think even the pincushioned pussycat's spare time has come to an end.

If we build it, they will come. :) And as I said, much is here already. We just need to cut and paste sections into appropriate headings.

It might likely increase the forum traffic too. As word gets out, we'll get links to the procedures. More links mean a better Google ranking on searches.

i think it's a great idea...but like sawdust says, if someone has time to scrape it all together then we could definitely do it.

You just gotta search around. There's a lot of information already out there spread all over the internet. And like everyone has already mentioned - nobody has the time to gather it all together. It's tough...

Possible replys to that statement in my current demented state of mind...

Not true, I have it all on my desktop at home but I've forgotten the password.

I did. It took 1,440,000 minutes to download but now I've got it all in one place.

Sure you can. It's on a disc called "Everything - For Dummies"

Only if you have a job, a life, a significant other or any combination of the three.

    Pu$$y!

Think that's tough... I work as a cat herder at Lowry Park.

    And my personal favorite....

I know you are but what am I?

This has been a pointless distraction from the mundane. We now return you to your regularly scheduled monotony.
