    has anyone caged a gen1 tacoma and kept all the dash crap in the truck? Just trying to see how you layed the apillar tube working around all that stupid cross bar that holds everything

    The vertical piece that go from the frame to the dash bar they must go fall in front of the factory dash bar?

    There is only 1 picture and its still hard to tell but I think I see what they did.


    Whats the worst that can happen if I dont solid mount the cab to the frame? I plan to plate the shit out of the cage to the cab though.

    Not really, If you think about it like this. The cab is sitting on a bushing that is attached to the frame. You attached the cage to the frame then weld plate from the cage to the cab. So now your cab is 90% solid mounted to frame/cage. Only place it is not solid mounted is in the 4 factory locations.

    I never replaced my factory mounts with solid ones. Haven't had any issues.
