Instead of waiting in your car to starve to death, what would you do then?

I was thinking the walker that hung himself got bit so he decided to check out before he turned. After he died he woke as a walker hung in the tree.

I would tend to agree, except it's only been weeks if days.

True, but then again we don't know how long he's been dead. Maybe a month?

A zombie trapped in a car in the Georgia sun for 8-9 months may not last. If the zombie plague is a virus, eventually the zombie will die if the virus itself doesn't have anything to live off of. Thats why you don't see skeletons walking around. Eventually they will die off, some faster than others based on their environment.

    My .02 cents

I think he was turned into a walker after he had hung himself..

Good point, I forgot Rick passed a bunch of them going into Atlanta the first time.

Well ya know, I live in Atlanta and the traffic here is enough to make you want to die.

But think about how many walkers haven't fed in a while and they are still alive.

But the walkers don't seem to feed on other walkers , so they would have had to have stripped his legs either as he was hanging himself or shortly after

    Good point.

Let's say you die of natural causes or by your own hand before you're infected. Do you reanimate if you're a cold lunch for a walker weeks after your death?

Maybe this has been brought up before, and it may fall into the area of "ok Jake, you're thinking about this waaaaay to much" but, maybe the virus needs some form of genetic pre-cursor to exist in a person to turn someone into a zombie?

Some people get the virus, and they just die. Thats it. But others who get the virus die, and come back as zombies whether through a direct bite or through some other form of transmission. And still others (like some have insinuated, ie convo with Jenner, and Rick can't get it) will never be able to catch the virus.

I think the walker pinata was bitten, and hanged himself to try and skip the transformation. so he was bitten, hanged himself became hanging chew toy for passerbys, became un-dead decorations

they have fed on any animals they stumbled upon. Remember the scene where Daryl and Rick gut the zombie to see what he ate recently, and they pulled out a raccoon or badger or something?
