Looking for idea how that can work. I have 20ton press and my old hub. I replaced my bearings 6000 miles ago and so far no problems. Which means I can put one complete bolt on set (hub + bearing+ seal plus 4 bolts)
This way swapping bearing can be done in a day. Let me know.
P.S. I dont want to sell my hub. But if we can figure out way to make exchange that may work.

What are the signs that the bearing needs to be replaced?

The wheel can shake separately from the truck.

In my case truck was kinda going places when you hit bump or uneven piece of the road. Thats the beginning later just gets squirmy and later makes noise.
I replaced at first stage just because I like my steering wheel tight ;)

I actually bought new hub. I did not want to do rush job with wheel bearings. With kids you never know when you going have to drop everything. So I got hub and pressed everything ahead of time. This way I just unbolted old one and bolted new one.

So far I clocked probably 6000 miles on new ones and truck rides super smoth but i put so much grease in those things that they will last forever. All I have to do keep them tight.:D

BTW I am thinking about making portable 20 ton press I need to find some scrap metal first but I think with all those pressed in things having something to drag o n the trail would be nice
