Anyone had experience w/ a grillcraft insert that does not fit properly? It seems to be off a tad and will not fit flush. I am going to contact them tomorrow to see if I can get an exchange. Just curious if anyone else has had this problem.

It's the MX. I will take some closer pics tomorrow. It's not bad, but it's not perfect, so it's bad. Look at the left side (center piece)...see how it isn't flush? I may have to take it off and try again. That thing was a B to get on.

My dad and I tried everything we could. I think it's just off. We tried to shove it in, but no dice. Guess I may just have to live with it. Were your triangles off by much? They look good to me in the pic.

It's hard telling in the pic but you should be able to make it work.

No, we just took a couple off the end and tried. I was thinking we should have taken them all off, but my dad's patience was wearing real thin by that point.

I am probably going to eventually do this, but went Grillcraft in the mean time. I have the FJ TOYOTA emblem to mount on the front, just not so sure how to paint it yet.

I had similar challenges with mine. I had a 2011 mx grill and a 2008 color matched grill.
My thought was it would fit real easy. The 2011 grill and mx grill may be ever so slightly different , hard to tell. Not sure if you bought the 2011 version ....

I did get mine to fit pretty well with muscle and patients. I feel your pain it took me a while .

On the truck it's fine ( not noticeable ) . I have the fj color matched and it looks great with the grill craft, I also have the lower grill craft too...

    Good luck,

    Az

I went the satoshi route when I did mine, so I can't really speak for the grillcraft. But if its too long then you can still fix it

Possibly, or make it concave enough to fit? I'd have to see it honestly. I'm just saying, better long than short. Lol
