In Texas is called an EZtag. It allows you to not stop at the tollways. I'm sure other states have them.
In Houston I have noticed many Tacomas not running this MOD.

They're starting to become popular, I REALLY hope they don't catch on. Screw tolls, isn't that what my registration and related taxes for!?!?

I have the out-of-state plate/registration mod on my Taco so I dont give a fuck about the AZ toll roads. BWAHAHAHA Or my motorcycle has the "I dont know what happened to my plate officer, it was there when I parked it last night. Someone must have stolen it!" mod. Both of those work great for speed camera.

Do it enough they will flag the tag stop you charge you for running tolls and fine you for not registering your truck in the state you live in.

NEWS FLASH! While your EZ Tag is provided by the state, it only allows you to pass through the toll and not stop. You still have to actually pay $1.00-$1.50 to use the toll. That means it's NOT FREE.

The EZ tag is free, and saves you money on the tolls.
    Save Money

EZ TAG owners pay less than cash and coin payers! To establish your pre-paid EZ Account and put money back in your wallet you may choose to use Discover Card, MasterCard, VISA, American Express, or a Direct Debit from your checking account. Toll payments will be automatically deducted from your pre-paid account as you pass through EZ TAG lanes. Statements are available free 24/7 at the online.

If you choose to enter the tollway then your paying either way, so I opt for the FREE upgrade of EZtag.

I dont live in Arizona. I am on "Company Travel." I live in Washington state where my home of residence is, my house is, my license, and all vehicles are registered at. I am completely legal as I have the option to rent a vehicle or use get paid to use my P.O.V. which I do.

There are no actual "TOLL BOOTHS" in AZ (at least none that I have come across, its just for the express lane I think)!

I am almost never in Phoenix anyways, Tucson does not have any of them. Again, not worried!!!

Like I said, the actual tag is given to you at no charge, in order to use the tag, you must PAY to go through the tolls. You are charged money to use the toll. That means it's NOT free. I have a Texas EZ Tag. Really it's not a hard concept.

    pay:

    1. to settle (a debt, obligation, etc.), as by transferring money or goods, or by doing something:

    2. to give over (a certain amount of money) in exchange for something:

    3. to transfer money as compensation or recompense for work done or services rendered; to satisfy the claims of (a person, organization, etc.), as by giving money due: He paid me for my work.

    4. to defray (cost or expense).

    5. to give compensation for.
