I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
since you seem to know so much on the issue, find me some! I've found one dedicated thread on ttora and the occasional rant here and there. Only instances of breaking is the r&p and thats with those pushing their trucks to the limits on rocks.

We bought Alex's (gatortaco92) truck from Hoover Toyota with 166k on it and haven't had any major problems out of it! Other than replacing the cat from being covered in mud and replacing that cv axle y'all replaced. No problems at all.

You misread my post. But, I have nothing to show you, you already proved my point. I originally said if you plan on wheeling hard then I would get an 8.4. You obviously arent going to be wheeling hard enough to see the gains of an 8.4 if you are only locking the rear end once a year. The 8.4 is stronger than the 8, there are no questions about that. And if i had to do it over again, I wouldnt have bought a TRD, I would have got a base 4x4 with an 8.4 and modded it from there.

There are plenty of places near North Alabama to wheel. You could make a day trip out of any of these places. Im getting the times using mapquest and the starting point is huntsville.

    Woolys offroad park 1 hour
Wheeling in the Country 1.5 hours
Tracy City (SETO) amazing place 1.5 hours

All of those are great places to wheel.

Not so nice or dedicated to wheeling

    Stony Lonesome 1 hour
    Birmingham 1.5 hours
There are 3 good places to go wheeling around here, one of them is where I broke my diff.

My bad, I read it as in "people say they brake all the time". We'll i'm still looking around for a truck so who knows what I will end up with. Between the craziness at work and working on weekends, I won't have any time for any wheeling haha.

That is one sexy truck! I'll either be trading my taco for somethong like that, or doing a 4x4/sas conversion on mine. We'll see how it goes.

    Awesome!

    caleb,

I started sketching some samples of the stickers you made on my computer and the dimensions are going to be iffy with vinyl. i'll post some pictures if I can remember whenever I get home.
