After a few weeks of trying to decide between BFG AT KO (have these on 2011 4runner) and BFG Rugged Terrain I decieded to go with the latter.

So far so good! Just got them on yesterday and they feel heavier (not a bad thing) and just more solid than the stock Bridgestone Dueler HT 840.

Stock size was 265/60/18 and I went with 265/65/18 on the Rugged Terrains. No rubbing no issues and I am beyond happy with the slightly more aggressive look.

They handle and feel great on road. The wife and I are taking a road trip in 2 weeks down to pismo beach to ride quads and test the truck out. I will report back how the tires handle in the sand and dunes.

Very nice. Those rims look better with the meatier tires.

Personally, I'd have gone with the BFG AT's but I'm partial because that's what I have...

    ...Absolutely LOVE that color...

After having these almost a month how are the holding up? How is the road noise? Im looking at that same size setup, still no rubbing or other issues?

Wondering the same thing. How is the larger size working on that setup?

After a month I can say that I definately made the right choice. I love the look and ride of these tires. They also perform well off road. I am not talking anything extreme, but in dirt, gravel and sand they perform well.

No rubbing issues. Full turns forward and back on uneven terrain and towing a trailer multiple times. I don't see it ever being an issue.

I don't hear any road noise. When compared to BFG AT on my 4runner these are silent.

Read the decription of the tires on BFG's official site. It is spot on. After reading it and it sounds like the right tire for you, go for it. You won't be disappointed.

Perfect! Thanks for the update. I just ordered a set of 18's with the BFG terrains in this size. Should be out on Saturday morning! Can't wait!

time to paint those chrome wheels black. I think that would look sick.

Nice! Glad I could help make your decision easier.

Did you order custom 18" wheels? What ones did you choose?

They definitely look better with a smaller side wall like yours. I don't think they look good on a 16" wheel.

They look good. I passed on them when I saw them at the store. Just looked weird and not like the pictures I had seen. They look better mounted and I like them.

I'll chime in with some kudos for these tires.
Now have 3,000 miles on a set of 265/70/17s - they have been very good.
Quiet, comfortable on the freeway, good in rain, good off road - though I'm conscious they are not as aggressive as ATs. Don't dig themselves a hole in sand, like some other more aggressive tires.
    I run 32psi usually, 36 psi loaded.
BFG ad is right on with description.
