Loose sun visors

How do you tighten them? and how do you take off the sticker/decal on it?

 

the sticker i dont think you can take off without messing something up..The looseness? dunno..lol

 

Well the guy before me who had the truck peeled off half of the pass. and attempted at the driver one. Someone said on here that to heat up some water (not boiling) and put the sticker/decal over the water. I guess the steam helps.

 

Looseness- You'll have to re-glue or re-tape them down.

To get the old adhesive off- Try Goo-Gone or a carnauba based wax cleaner and a bit of patience and elbow grease. WD-40 might also be an option. Steam might work- You could try an iron on steam mode.

Wont Goo-Gone stain the fabric?

 

Ahhh...THOSE visors.

I haven't ever seen them come out well if you try to take off the sticker. You can try the steam thing- but I'm not sure what that'll to do the adhesive that holds the fabric on.

As far as tightening them- Are you trying to tighten the mount to the roof or tighten then hinge on the visors??

 

They have alot of play in them and they hang down maybe an inch or so.

Oh yeah thats true I forgot that the fabric was also glued on. Well the guy before me did some of it. But he did a crappy job

 

I'd vote your best bet is to try and find replacement ones off a wrecked truck. Maybe take them to a custom shop and see if they can cover them with something you like a bit more??
