Avid light bar?

    It will do nothing for deer. The bar only comes up to the fog lights. While with a deer, the majority of the mass is at headlight level. Worst case is the bar will just take out the deer's legs, and the rest of the body will come into your windshield. Good luck.

    Thanks, I'm not buying it for protection, just to add some additional lights. Very little, if any traffic, and like to see the deer, 'yotes, bobcats, fishers.........

    It's good for lights, but there will be that one time that you can't see the deer, no matter how many lights you have. You're really better off with a bumper.

    Check out the NFab light bar also. It's a pretty sleek way to mount up some extra lights and is a lot cheaper than the Avid bar. Don't get me wrong, the Avid is a great product and, if you want that look, there's nothing else like it! Just wanted to give you another option.
