I'm not sure what to do with it. After searching I do believe it is a baby Timber Rattlesnake. I came home to this 2 years ago.

 

Kill it you dont need that around the house. there is no law saying you cant kill a venomous snake only nonvenomous. least that is what i have been told so take it for what its worth.

 

does kinda look like a baby timber rattler! i like snakes but not the venomous ones!! only Venomous snakes i have to worry about is copper head and timber rattler. don’t think we have the western pigmy rattler in east TN.

 

x2! i’ll only kill a venomous snake. unless mom sees it it has to be killed no madder what. lol she freaks the fuck out when she sees them. when she runs them over she picks her feet up off the floor board thinking it is going to come up thru it. lol

I agree totally. What I'm more concerned with is finding out exactly what kind it is and if I need to worry about a snake problem. I'm sure more than one made it out of the den and has ventured out. Where is the den, how close is it to the house and do I need to break out the dynamite. It will be disposed of though, that you can count on.

Haha! A walther p22 took that one by the grill out. I'm just hoping this one found today isn't a grandchild or close relative.

 

I'll never kill an animal unless they are in my house(bugs), have bitten/attacked someone, they aren't afraid of human and will just walk up to you, or I am hunting them. I just relocate them to some protected land or hunting property I have.

 

x2. snakes dont move far from their den...hes probably lived there for years, you've just now stumbled across him.

 

I just don't see the point in it. I've been out in the woods with my sister and her boyfriend riding 4wheelers and they found a nest of baby gators and killed them all just because they don't like them.
