Uh yeah I would just like to say that my 2014 tacoma trd pro offroad tx deluxe edition blew a seal in the engine causing it to do a double back flip into oncoming traffic.

Id post pics but my camera is broken right now......... Oh but ill post the police report just as soon as I make up a fake one.

Not that I'm agreeing with the OP and I don't know of this personally, but I have heard stories of Jeep CJ's flipping over from dropping the front of the rear drive shaft. But of course that is a much shorter wheel base too.

But I do have a hard time believing mostly due to the lack of body damage from having landed on a car from 4 ft in the air. Now I could however believe the story with being just spun around and up over a hood of a car therefore causing little body damage to the Taco while shoving the axel as the OP stated. But even then there should be body damage from the wheels/tires hitting the fenders. I can also see someone "feeling" like they were thrown 4 ft in the air while actually just being spun more or less. Plus the fact that people tend to exaggerate things.

Anyway, can't wait for the pics or lack there of.

    THIS.
So many questions, but no actual facts. I'm not saying I don't believe the OP, because pretty much anything can go wrong with a vehicle, but coming onto a forum like this and flaming Toyota with no evidence at all is going to get you :crapstorm:
Anyone can post anything on the internet.

Your not going to get any mid air, flying across a 4 way intersection photo, but I will post (maybe tomorrow if I dont head to Sugarloaf in the morning)
a photo of the truck as it sits today. The collision center is about ten miles south... I will try to get down there tomorrow and prove all you wrong.

I've been a Professional FF for some time now....and have seen some nasty wrecks. What you're describing didn't happen. A mid-sized truck lands onto a car..oncoming traffic and it only breaks one headlight and a dent the size of an orange....

    C'mon man.....

yes but did you take pictures after things where all said and done showing the damage? all jokes aside thats what people really want to see if there is no pics i would have to agree with them.

i'm aware that this is a possibility but the 2 piece drive shaft of the double cab makes it even more hard to believe. instead of arguing your point with people who are obviously convinced that your not being honest just post up after crash pics.

i don't care what happens anything from a dent in a parking lot to my ride being completely totaled i'll be snapping some decent pics showing the damage for both insurance and sentimental reasons its pretty standard stuff.

But that's not what you're saying...
See, I'm actually not trashing the OP until he delivers/doesn't deliver.
While it may seem EXTREMELY unlikely and impossible, stranger shit has happened so instead of being a tool, I'm just going to wait and see.

Already did. Closed at 5:30, so it went to some gal's vm. Called the FD at (207) 799-3314, but there are three that could've responded and that's where I end it.

I really want this to be true, so I'm rooting for the OP. Great end for a good-lookin' truck! Pics!

I'm not sure why everyone is saying this can't happen. There is a reason race cars are required to have drive shaft safety loops. 4' may be a slight exaggeration, but it can be dramatic.

Clearly this car has a little bit more torque than a 2012 Taco, but you get the idea.

Why would the truck be totaled when it was 32k and there is 10k of damage?
