I picked up some 16" trd rims from a fellow member that were in decent condition except for 1 that was in bad shape.

    photo(5).jpgphoto(6).jpg

I was able to sand and bondo the bad sections out

    Used some self etching primer

    100_1548.jpg

    Primer and sanded down

Color and just needs to be wet sanded and a layer or 2 of clear to be done

What you guys think? Was thinking of doing a layer of black metallic in between the 2 light coats and 1 medium coat of the gun metal to add some depth, but decided its a truck rim not a show rim.

what kind of paint did you use? I just picked up a set of wheels today from another fellow member and I'm thinking of ways to paint them. You've absolutely given me some inspiration, but now I need a follow through!! lets see them mounted!!

    Replied to your PM.

I haven't gotten tires yet. Waiting for uncle sam's check. Leaning towards the Yokohama Geolanders or Firestone Destination ATs in 265/75/16. Once I get it all mounted up, will post the final picture.

Thanks for all the replies also.

(if ya want a how to I can do one if yall like, but think few others already done that) :D

People have done write-ups on painting wheels before, but not a lot of gunmetal paint.. I think you should do a write up! based on your PM reply, you need to do a write up, you definitely know what you're doing..
