Jflan pretty much confirmed what my ops leader told me at work. I have heard thru sources that walmart carries several black rifles and most of the time they are not out in the display case but back in the stock room. If your local wally world carries rifles, just ask if they carry the afformentioned brands/models.

    Tucson has them.
    El Paso doesn't.

But neither of them have anyone within 100 yards that has the ability or aptitude to open the case containing ammo.

Hahaha how true. Any time I try and buy ammo from the wal mart close to my work I can never find anyone to open the damn ammo case!

If it's a bushmaster and they want over 800 bucks then it IS a bad price :p

I sent corporate a letter about that.

We're not buying $5 cans of spray paint (and I never have trouble getting that case opened!)... when I buy ammo from Ammunitiontogo.com, I'm spending $800-$1200 at a pop. The only time I buy from WM is when they are cheaper... which typically only happens on Winchester 555, but every now and then they are better on the .45 ACP ball rounds... but my point to them was they are turning away $100-$300 sales!

The only reason I was stopping in TX and AZ is my parents gave me grandpa's old 1903 (glad I have my 03!) and I REALLY wanted to pull off onto some BLM land on the way home and put a few rounds through it.

Nope... ended up getting 2 boxes at the LGS, but I'm going to have to wait another week before I can take it to the range because I'm on call.
