about $3g in tax refund. I set it up so they take a lot from each check so I guarantee a good refund. Ive had too many times where I owed money. Not fucking around with that bull shit anymore

Uncle sam took $4k out of my check for the 2 weeks of straight over time back when the halloween snow storm knocked out power for 2 weeks in north jersey. really hate taxes..

Yep...screw that, but when I was his age I did the same. Now that I have major living expenses I need it in my checks weekly. I have mine set just as close as I can without owing and I still got back almost 2k, but that's only because I "strategically" wrote off 18k.

and screw paying people to do your taxes - that shits easy. Ive been doing mine for 14 years

I did it too at that age. It is an easy way to save some cash without thinking about it or having to be disciplined. I am still not very disciplined, I just have a wife to keep me in line now.

Scott cries about not getting more than a grand back, but refuses to spend $100 to have an expert do his taxes. I will gladly pay $100 to have some one do them that knows how to get me the most back. Instead of getting a grand back I'm getting 3 grand.

People can do their own alignments too but I'd rather pay David and know its done right...

Expert ......lol...how hard do you think taxes are?

It's simple paperwork and I had to file (3) W-2's between 2 states including Philly city wage tax. I spent more time collecting the proper paperwork then actually doing them.

Those tax "professionals" cant get me back more money then I can get back myself. They are not magicians. I'd rather push the limits myself then have some DB pencil pusher do it for me. At least then if I get audited I know it was me not some slacker who was hired to work 3 months a year.

Hell your single, no kids, had the same job all year, don't own a home, and most likely don't itemize - your taxes would take me 10 minutes to do.

My buddy's wife works for H&R Block during tax season...........and I'm pretty sure she can't tie her own shoelace. All she does is input info into a computer program. Basically all they are is a paid order entry person.

Now if you have income from capital gains, rentals, and a income higher then 150k it might be worth it to hire a real professional to navigate the loopholes for you, but it will cost much more then $100.00.

Ill hook you up next year buddy....and I bet I can get you more money back then H&R block for 1/2 the cost.

    FUCK ALL YOU GUYS!!!!!

i do taxes for people!!! not no H&R block shit though....a legit firm doing millions in revenue a year.

but like it has been mentioned....if you dont have alot going on they are easy as shit to do....you just have to have a little common sense.

or you can come to me and i think my bill rate from the firm i work at is around 120 an hour....i never see that much money but all i know is the bill for a day at a client with my and my co worker was 1900 bucks...for 8 hrs of work...so yea it gets expensive but we also do know some shit that not a lot of people know...but its more so for the simplicity of not having to deal with it.

my dad makes easy 170 + a year....plus all his other shit....him and my mom have ALWAYS done their taxes, he can easily afford to pay someone to do it (me) but he rather save the money than let someone else touch it.

but when you are dealing with people who own their own company and are doing 5 million in revenue....thats where shit gets sticky....to not pay tax on the business we usually make the partners take big bonus's....therefore reducing net income....so they pay as little tax as possible...(sneaky lil trick i learned)
