My best shot at a translation for lazy typing.

I have a 2010 black regular cab 4X4 with 37,000 miles. The air conditioning compressor failed and I don't have a warranty. The rear springs bottom out with only 300 pounds in the bed (I guess I should have made an attempt at the leaf spring TSB). The blower motor makes noise and I was told not to take it in for repair but to replace the resistor or lubricate the motor.

    Howd I dew?

I've done a significant amount of offroading and last month stuffed the damn thing in 5ft of water for 45 minutes while I waited for help to get me out. Then I drove home.

After all the stupidity I've put this truck through it's never NOT started. Even with the starter full of water it started. The only things I've had to replace were a belt idler pully because I stuffed it full of mud and didn't clean it before the mud hardened into rock....and a turn signal bulb.

If you're having an incredible amount of issues there's a high chance you're doing something really wrong. And that's saying something coming from ME.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
My 09 is still like out of the box. I have under 45k miles so far. You've got 58k on a 2010 ? Wow you drive alot. Thought I drove alot.

    :sorry:

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
There is a TSB for the rear springs, since you are 2010 I am sure your warranty isnt up yet.

I understand where the OP is coming from. My first two second gen Tacomas were awsome, never had a single problem with them, and kicked ass in the snow. My 2010 (3rd second gen) had a dash rattle from the first week I owned it that the dealership couldn't fix, had the front axle assembly replaced twice, intermittent no start condition that the dealership couldn't figure out, had noticeably less power than the previous two 4.0 V-6s,and would randomly down shift/ have a harsh shift for no apperant reason while driving down the road. Also the elctronic LSD sucked in the snow compared to the mechanical LSD that was in my 2006s. I ended up getting rid of it with only 13K miles on it. If the right deal came along I would probably buy another Tacoma, but it would be a 2008 or older.

TSB does not apply to the regular cab trucks.

I just traded in my 06 off road. I had all of the known issues with it. Crappy rear springs, blower motor chirp, temp/compass stopped working, motor ticked, steering shaft rattled, windows rattled, sloppy front axle bearing on driver side that made a popping noise, rear chrome bumper sucked, leaned to the driver side, fuel would slosh around in the tank and make noise when the brakes were applied, brake pads made noise when first applied,(like there was play in the pads or something), abs system was downright dangerous, cruise control would drop too many gears while pulling even the slightest incline causing motor to rev really high, stereo sucked! All that with only 5 1/2 years and 42,000 easy miles on it.
With that being said, i still loved the truck! I would buy another one in a heartbeat. I traded it on a tundra. I just wanted the bigger truck this time.

The only thing that caused me trouble was the dealership. Ever taco has the tick and chirp

Avid front light bar, Avid bolt on sliders, Avid rear bumper protector, T-Rex grill & bumper insert. Still lots to do though.
SOunds like there are a lot of happy Toy owners on her & only a few that ended up with "Friday" trucks. It was Friday just before end of shift at the plant & they threw a couple trucks together to fill the quota for the day before they left to hit the bar. In 02 I bought a 02 Tundra that was a Friday truck right off the lot. At 5,000 miles the brakes were replace 3 times & the engine was ratteling. Frontier took the truck back & gave me the next model up for trade at the same payment. Put the 2nd truck through the Sequoias & the Kern River with no problems except for frying out the Alternator because of trying to be a U-Boat Capt. My Bad. Other than that one truck, Toyota has ALWAYS been the ride that treated me right.

Also...just look at my sig! Bought my 07' access cab sport with 36k on it and it was smashed! Replaced every single nut and bolt with OEM from the dealership...(I was just thumbing through my file of receipts!) and now I have 42k on it. I don't beat my truck but I do drive it hard as I do a lot of city driving and am always in a hurry but it has not even made a peep! One of the best vehicles I have owned aside from other Toyota's!!!

My plan was to drive my 86 into the ground, but I didn't want to wait too long and miss out on the possibility of a good 1st gen. So in 2009 I started looking for a 2004 with under 50k on it. Only problem .. rust rust rust. Figured I'd just buy new and take care of the frame from day one. Except for Toyota's shit blower motors, not one problem. Knock on wood.
