    Yeah the wave is formed by a rock under the water creating the breaking face. so if you fall or stand up to forward on the board and sink the nose you could risk damaging the board pretty bad in the rapids.

    Have you seen the rip curl video of the river surfing in Indonesia? totally different concept to create the wave though. this one is from the tide coming in very strong and up river.
