True, for the most part. A better driver with a ill handling car, will usually smoke, a bad driver with a perfectly set-up car. But, most good drivers got that way from knowing how to set a car up.

My whole thing is... I didn't have to change my truck at all when I got it in order for it to handle well. If you really want a slash to handle or be competitive you have to run a different chassis... or run different a-arms... or both... or convert to a completely different vehicle.

Mine handles better fresh out of the box.. and costs less!

(I'm not trying to start a pissing contest, I'm just voicing my opinion)

I prefer bashing over racing anyway. I'm one of the least competitive people out there when it comes to recreational activities.

In all honesty I wish I had all the money back that I've spent on the hobby so I could get a brushless EMAXX or E-Revo :anonymous:

Anyone with a 4x4 slash, found the proline pro trac kit on ebay.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/ProLine-Pro...Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cfef565d3

I will wait until a-main has it, after running with some friends yesterday im looking into a castle MMP 2400kV set up and buy a 3 and 4s lipo to run it with, and get the pro trac kit to help control it.

Btw a slash 4x4 on 2s lipo running into a stock sc10 at full speed, slash wins :D No pics cause it was to dark but i ripped my buddys front wheel off

If I could do it again, I would spend my money on a none-Traxxas r/c. I'd go with a E-Firestorm Flux or Blitz or pretty much anything from Hpi! haha

I keep forgetting about HPI... I don't know why. I'd love to have any Savage. I love the Twin Vertical Plate setup. Works so well for a monster truck. There's a good chance I might get a Savage XS Flux next time I run into some money..

It does look like a 1/10th scale until you sit a B4 beside it. JConcepts calls it a J82, (JConcepts 1/8 scale 2wd) to my knowledge there aren't any 1/8 2wds buggies. It is nowhere as big as a 1/8 4wd of anyones. It's really a bastard class, size wise. Again it uses. T4 chassiss, (little longer than a B4) some extra wide front A-arms, with longer links, of course, a very weird off set rear wheel, and some proprietary rear links that have a "drop down offset" to them, so the hub/carrier is way deep in to the wheels. All my buds at our private track built up some, just for a break from trucks, we've ran those ever since they first came out. Handle way better than a B4 (because of stance) but not as forgiving as a stadium truck. It took some time to get oil weights/spring rates and ride heights figured out, but, that's the fun to me.

haha thats exactly how mine is. i dont think there are any classes i could run this in, its just a mixture of parts from different cars and different brands.

this one uses an 1/8th scale wing for an hpi hellfire, turnbuckles and ball studs from an hpi blitz ese, extended pro-line rear arms for a slash all around, 1/8th scale shocks from a hot bodies (hpi) d8t, a body for an associated rc8, rustler chassis, and soon to have an associated slipper clutch assembly.

i just had a ton of fun building it and the electronics on it are way over kill lol. 1/8th scale 6pole motor with a 160a esc make for some fun speed and jumps at the track lol.

At first, they let us run them in the 1/10th buggy class at the organized track. A few of them cried foul, and I don't blame them, I would've also. Hardly anyone runs buggy, and one of us "usually" would own the main. So we just save them for the home track. As I've posted before, we hardly ever go to the real track any more, too much drama. And a couple of us have taken up flying.
