I have a 2004, with 33x12.50R15's. They are rubbing pritty good off road even with the pinch welds beat all the way in. I have a 2" spacer in front. What do I need to get away from rubbing so bad? 1" body lift? If I was to get the 5100's will that clear them with no problem?

It could be a couple things; not enough lift, wheel backspacing isn't right, could need a lil more off the pinch weld...

I thought I've read repeatedly that a 3" lift is required for 33's. Also, you might need some wheel spacers, those are pretty wide tires.

5100's all around, 2.75 inch lift, polyurethane body mounts, gibson exhaust, variation of the deckplate mod, intake resonators removed 285-75-16 goodyear AT
Yea, 2 inch lift isn't enough for 33's and you need to be sure you have the right backspacing as well. Even then there is some doctoring to be done on the pinchweld. The 5100's only do a 2.5" lift in the front I believe which isn't really enough. 33x12.50s are pretty marginal for these trucks despite the success some people have had, it's not that the truck can't handle them mechanically but the wheel wells just aren't large enough.

You need at least a 3" lift up front to get away with 33X12.50s... not much way around it without the rubbing. Hence, you're dilemma.

^^ Agreed, not enough lift. I have the 5100/Eibach setup with 33x12.50 and never rub.

    Once again..you need more lift.

the 5100/Eibach combo works great. You'll also need to lift the rear with an AAL at least.

I have the Eibachs and 5100s and 33x12.5s. Worked great with 4'' BS wheels that were 8'' wide.

However now im at 2.5'' BS and i had to go re trim :p haha

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
This: Plus this: Toytec is the only place you will get the Eibachs from. You can get the Billy's from multiple vendors however.

When you get them, LEAVE THE BILLIES IN THE STOCK POSTION (bottom notch). The lift comes from the Eibachs, not the shocks on this type of set up.

3 inch isn't "required" to fit 33's. They still rub when stuffed. the lift doesn't change that...People need to realize that little leveling kits and up to 3 inch lifts for our trucks does not affect tire fitment. a 33 will rub just as much with 3 inches of lift as it will with no lift. it's just a matter of how far up into the wheel well you have stuck your tire due to the terrain.

Just get a bigger hammer and start pounding...it's a truck it can handle it, don't be a sissy with it...

X3 I have 33x12.5 and i rub like crazy off road on the street it's fine but if you wheel your truck they will rub unless you tub your fenders.

i have 33 10.50's no sway bar. no rubbing at all, no need to tub the fenders unless you run a 34 or larger, and some would say that if you don't care about the look of the fender well a sledge will take care of it and eliminate the need to cut and weld for up to 35.

I beg to differ with my wheel and tire setup you would need to tub your fenders to fully stuff my tires without rubbing and a 10.5 is not a 12.5

I rub the top of the fender and the fender wall with my 33's

Maybe you're right with your set up. I still stand by the fact that with a mini sledge I can make a 10.50 or a 12.5 fit with out rubbing the fender.

I used to rub the top of my fender as well after just beating the pinch in...I came back with the hammer and fixed that as well

Do you rub your fender edge or the bushwacker(or whatever aftermarket looking fender flare) you have on?

I blew the bushwhackers off in the front and hit the sheet metal wile hauling ass down a fire road at 50+ I do have a mid travel setup so I have more travel then most. But if I'm at full lock with the tire stuffed i rub the fender wall and the frame so I just don't see a 33x12.5 having no rubbing at all on these trucks if you in fact wheel your truck.

Nobody ever mentioned frame rub. That is a given unless you run 10.50's. Mine is stock front end suspension components besides my all pro coilovers so I have stock up travel.

And yes I do wheel it quite alot
