Im shooting a short film for a class in a couple weeks and I'm going to need my truck to be muddy. I'm not talking dusty and dirty, I mean caked with mud. I havent wheeled much out here, and my truck is basically a stock 4x4. Does anybody know any wet spots within an hour or so of Tempe that I can do this? I also may need another truck for the film (clean) if anybody is interested in their baby being on the big screen. Thanks

I got a big dirt back yard right now that I could flood and throw mud all over your truck. I haven't found many places to go mudding around here because everything is always dry as a bone..

But if you need another truck to help out let me know the dates and if I'm free I'll give you a hand with what I can.

Sycamore is probably your best bet. Me and another member got our trucks CAKED with mud. Check my build to see how bad. Lol. Mud still comes out when I wash it and that was months and months ago. Lol. Besides that, even further up north, but Sycamore will be the closest. And I'm in Tempe as well so let me know If you need another truck or some help.

Go out to 4 Peaks in the next couple of days and you'll have plenty of good mud.

Bone dry out there right now, unless you make your own mud. Find a big dirt lot somewhere near a long hose and you're in business in about an hour.

Ooh, try Bartlett Lake at the Flats. There should be some good exposed lakebed out there due to the water being so low. Might be some good mud near the banks if you can get down to it. Haven't looked at it since early winter though, but I hear it's at like 25% which should expose the muddy bottom.

i might have to try looking into that; I've been cruising around looking for construction sites, i dont want to be that asshole that goes in and tears them all up, though. keep the idears comin fellas, worse case im thinking about picking up some bags of dirt/clay and making my own mud to dump all over the truck. thoughts?

also, shoot dates were bumped to the following weekend, so I have some more time to figure it out. anyone want to for sure volunteer their truck to be muddy/washed or the second vehicle in the piece? For the primary vehicle, we'd need you Saturday and Sunday the 14th and 15th. For the secondary vehicle, we'd need you for a much shorter time (only a couple shots).
