thats because they are the only one offering a internal shifting crankset.

It uses the same mechanical ideas that Honda used in its DH bikes

yeah that is true. its technology you dont see often. i feel like its because of the weight though. that honda bike look sooo heavy and i noticed the hammerschmidt wasnt the lightest crank set either. altough on an AM bike weight isnt really the most important thing i just feel like it might not be worth it. idk i would have to test it to see if it were.

on a side note what do you guys think about this? its no 160mm AM machine but i think if i changed it to 140mm it would do pretty well. i would probably build it up over the summer so that by fall when im back at school its ready to ride

the Honda RN01 weighed about 40 pounds lol

The Hammerschmit is more for DH than anything

I got my first ride of the year in today! A buddy met me out there to tag along. It kinda slowed me down bc I kept having to stop and wait for him to catch up. No big deal but I think I will go by myself next time.

I also took the trails faster than I usually do and I got air on a few sections where I would normally just ride over them. Going faster is much more fun :D

Pics are in my gallery. I can't copy/paste from my phone...

The geometry on this bike is awesome, it accelerates like a hard tail, and can carve some corners.
