As Justin said, he's pretty much in Bessemer. I'm about 20 miles away from it.

You think he would be interested in a TacoAlaMode custom grill? If he hasnt already replaced it with a stock SWB grill.

ok guys, need your opinion, is it dumb of me to feel hesitant about buying a tacoma with 65k miles? I know they last forever, but the last vehicle I bought with more miles than I wanted ended up giving me a ton of problems.

I would be very cautious when buying any used vehicle. No matter the mileage. The fact that it is a taco is a plus. Less likely to have problems. Also, that is a lot of money to throw out on something with more then 40k on the odo.

Personally, I'd just be patient and see what comes along. The more patient you are, the better deal you will find. You seem to have a pretty damn good idea of exactly what you want. It's out there, but are you willing to take the time to find it? Or do you want a truck, right now?

If you're willing to wait, you'll find the perfect truck with the right mileage.

yeah, I figure I'll be persistent on getting the best price. If I get a good deal, then the 65k might not be that bad. But, the deal has to be right.

I looked up the truck on edmunds and kbb and the price difference between the two is absolutely outrageous. Kbb puts the truck at $24,265 in average condition, and edmunds puts it at $16,589. I figure something in between would be a killer deal.

Ive been offered 17k for my prerunner with 120k on the odo. I originally paid 19k for it brand new with 2 miles on it. If you could get that truck for under 20k, you would be getting a great deal. Just be sure to test Everything, and if you decide you want it, pull 19k (or whatever amount you want) from your pocket and hold it in front of the seller. If the man needs money, it's damn hard to turn down 19k cash ready to be dropped in your hand.

    That's how I get deals.

I like it! But I agree with everyone else, If you can get it for about 18k then I think it would be worth it..

Honestly though.. if you go white, you have to do a Storm Trooper build!!!

alright guys, Just got off the phone with the guy who owned the truck and i pretty much got him to talk himself down to 22k. Now I know that seems a tad high, but I think I can get him down some more.

Joshua, I want to know your input on the issue since you have a 2nd gen trd OR. Lets hypothetically say I can't get him down past 21. That would mean in 3 years and 65k miles, a trd OR lost about 10k in value. Would you think that seams logical? I still think it could be a pretty good deal considering my 2wd sport only lost 3k in value in the four years and 40k miles I put into it.
