    We should keep the oil where it is until it is worth even more money, then we should keep some of those jobs for ourselves since the Americans don't seem to want them.

    One thing that we here in the US of A need to realize is that, even if/when Keystone becomes a full reality, it's not going to lower our gas prices one damn nickel. That's not what it's about. It has absolutely dick to do with what the mediatards say about some BS 'energy independence' horseshat. No, it's about our energy overlords taking advantage of a fresh resource. Yes, it will create a handful of new construction jobs, while it's being built, but that's it. TPTB don't give a damn where the oil comes from--just that they're the ones who control it.

    I do sincerely apologize to our northern friends for the thread hijack, but just had to lay comment when I saw this was the topic du jour (that last part is so the FC's can understand me).

    What are you complaining about. Gas is cheaper in the US than it is in Canada where it comes from!

    That is solely due to the taxes applied. Gas prices are fairly universal, the only difference is the taxes applied. You can see that here in the states when you travel from state to state.

    In Maryland the tax is $0.235 a gallon. The US tax is $0.184. A gallon of crude oil is roughly $2.51 a gallon.
