Thanks! I'll post pics when they are on. I'd like to do the piece under the hood too but does anyone know if you need to get high temp paint for that project?

I would assume, due to it being placed on the heater, it cured too quickly.

I need to post pics, I think they came out pretty good on the truck. Only question, did anyone have an issue with paint coming off easily on the edges? Some paint came off when my nail caught the edge, I was pretty mad and wondered if I didn't let them cure long enough or didn't paint them right. I didn't feel like waiting so I touched them up on the spot with some red spray, a little hair dryer and slapped em on the truck. I'm curious how they will hold when I go to the carwash.

Debadged. ARE Topper. Tailgate mods, including locking handle. BAMF LCA skids.
    thanks for the post!
I debadged my 1 day old truck tonight at 38° in under 30 min.
Bought a $10 hair drier and a few plastic putty knifes. Most of the glue balled up under your fingers and was easily removed. The residual trace of adhesive came off with very gentle rubbing of a shop towel with 3M General Purpose Adhesive remover. Presto! Nice clean look that will be easier to wash.
(this was my second mod. First was to replace the Rugged Fails with BFG AT's.)

Looks great! Did you take a long break between clear coats? If you clear coat a dry surface with clear, the surface will usually "Orange peel" like that it won't hurt anything and should be just fine! Gives it a nice textured look.

i did this exact same thing to my truck, same method with all 7 emblems including the front Toyota symbol. It looks nice, but such a pain in the ass for such a small Mod.

How did that come out? I'm thinking of turning my badges black but I have a sliver truck and was thinking of breaking the black up a little bit. How did you tape it so the paint didnt run and do you have any pictures of how it came out. thanks very much.

you have to remove all emblems you want to paint, then paint them.
