If you've got a scanner in the Birmingham area, listen to 146.880, and 146.760 for Skywarn spotters on ham radio.

Both NWS and JeffCo EMA/EOC are on BMX Spotterchat and 146.880. 146.760 is the backup machine in the event that there's damage to the 146.880 repeater.

Between 4-8PM tornadoes are the problem, from 8PM - 2AM as the squall line moves through the danger will be straight line winds.

Leaving the job in Pell City right now, and headed home to Montevallo. No rain yet, but getting some strong winds. I believe my boss and I are driving directly towards the storm.

How are you guys in HSVille doing? Heard its getting pretty rough up there.

 

I figured that the idea was a joke, but I just was making 100% sure. I am glad you would "Rock it" but if you were driving around in a company truck that hundreds of customers and potential customers would see every day, you might reconsider it. I know it was a joke, but in all seriousness, would you REALLY want the general public looking at us in that kind of light?
