    my dad has that lens. I like it, but i'm really interested in the f2.8, and i can also get more lens length with a 2x photo extender. The extender won't work with the 70-300. It is also a nicer piece of glass.

    The funny thing with that sigma you posted is that i'm driving to KC where that lens is located at tomorrow for a funeral. I'm tempted to get ahold of him and go look at it and maybe pick it up for cheaper. I just don't like doing the paypal gift. I can't get paypal to back me up if i don't receive my lens when using the paypal gift.

    Yeah....Im with you, overall I think you will be much happier with the Sigma. Thats my opinion. Get ahold of him and see about it! Might be able to pick it up for 550? or 525 maybe. Never know. It looks in good shape too!
