I checked out some EOtechs today and didnt like them too much. I really dont want to spend a ridiculous amount. I was thinking vortex strikefire or Sparc or maybe that Lucid HD7. I like how the strikefire looks the best, but not so sure about the 4moa dot.

Iirc there are some aimpoints with a 4moa dot. Unless your are trying to get groups you can cover with a quarter at 50 yards I think you would be fine ;)

The strike fires are suppose to be decent red dots from everything I've read. And they are a fraction of the cost of an aimpoint.

Yeah... I almost bought one at sportsmans today, but they only had the red/green version. I hear the dot brightness is a little weak on the RG version, so if i go that route i will order the red only version.

Would like to hear how the PRO shoots. As far as I know, it's a COMPM3 at a better price point?

Is the compM3 nvg compatable? If so then that is what would make it more expensive.

M3 yes, ML3 no, I believe the PRO is cheaper than both. I think they're basically rebranding the ML3 since that sight family isn't their cutting-edge lineup anymore. They've developed the M4, which is getting widely issued to MIL-types, and the Micros, which are super popular with us mall ninjas. ;)

ETA: other sites are saying it's more like the M2, with the 2 MOA dot. Either way, still a solid optic, though I still prefer EOTechs.

They are a good company that from my understanding is completely milspec except for the buffer tube (receiver extension)

All I gotta say is this rail has made a load of difference in weight wise.. also I noticed how much my barrel loves heavier bullets... Wasn't able to shoot paper today but was able to hit steal at 400 but had to compensate a bit for the wind and all...

No you saved yourself a shit ton of disappointment and money by not having to repurchase the same shitty optics over and over and over again. I consider that Aimpoint to be the starting point price wise when I buy optics.
