but why do that much amount of work, when you could just buy something that had all of that to begin with?

 

because i probably have all of the steel i'd need sitting in my garage right now. some limit strap mounts, second shock mounts, and an lca skid could be knocked out in a day.

I would love to get an engage kit. they ahve one of my favorite designs, but the fact that they don't have compatible CVs yet kills it. i'll probably get a TC kit eventually, but if another AP kit comes around when i have the extra cash, i'd get pick it up.

 

They do have axles, Vitang has them but... with LCA pivots blowing out I don't know about that and plus if you don't use their spindle you are gonna have ridiculous amounts of bumpsteer.

I'd always go with TC because they have a strong history with Toyota vehicles.

i finally got around to putting on the spidertrax spacers and i'm running stock steelies, now i know why everyone is after them, they look sweet for such a simple mod

The fox CO's they sell with their kit have internal bumps. I've only had my kit on for a few weeks, but I've had my setup fully extended a couple of times to check for clearance. Didn't notice any binding on the CV's or axles, but I guess if you have a heavy foot and you are fully extended bouncing off of rocks, you may break something.

 

Got the 15K @ 7 am. Got to wake up by 5:45 am and still awake...

I should pass on those two cups of espresso I had at 4 pm...

About how much does a transmission flush usually cost?

 

I have always been in the school of thought to avoid tranny flushes. Just drain/refill/drive.

This is what it states in your recommended maint guide, but only for towing:

This is recommended every 60K miles, but i personally see no need, toyota says dont worry about it, so only if a customer really wants it do i worry about it, not going to worry about it with my taco.

If she is going to be a long time keeper, I flush them at 60k and refill with full synthetic. Tran's fixes down the road are big $ or time to start looking for a new doll. Jim
