Don't worry Lisa... You can be my girl. :D You gotta be able to either put up with my gear whore addiction or... find a way to smack me back in line. :p:smack:

interesting. Pretty cool idea. I was hoping one of those bad boys would either get stuck in a tree when they threw them in the air or hit someone coming down. :p

    I choose the latter [IMG]

I've seen those once before. Seems like a good concept...do they have a rain fly? or stakes? what happens if you break the hoopy thing-a-ma-jigs?

My friend, the ladies are attracted to men who have a passion. It's what prince charming is made of. Lots of guys make the mistake of replacing their passion for said woman, this is a big mistake as you lose what made you desirable and also annoy her.

Chili mac is delish, I read some reviews at REI for it and a few of them suggested bringing some spices or hot sauce to give it a little more flavor and I agree but it does taste good and hearty right out of the bag. I think this next piece of advice goes with any meal like this but make sure you get water into the bottom corners so you aren't left with chewy dryness for your last couple bites.

Damn son! You could outfit an expedition!

There are few things cooler IMO than laying out all your gear so you can bask in the glory of it all.

hey anyone interested in buying an alcohol stove made out of an aluminum water bottle?

i've made a couple trying to improve on the design each time though the first one i made is more than adequate for anyones hiking gear inventory.

here are some specs, please note that both were made from the same bottle and the water was boiled in the same pot. this was done using about 2 oz. of denatured alcohol for fuel to boil 2 cups of tap water:

    -1st burner-

    lit @ 0:00
    full bloom @ 1:02
    rolling boil @ 7:40
    flame out @ 15:05

    -2nd burner-

    lit @ 0:00
    full bloom @ 0:49
    rolling boil @ 6:40
    flame out @ 27:40
(i think i may have put more than 2 oz worth of fuel in for this one but if i did it wasn't much... just seemed like it burned forever lol)

hopefully i can get these times better and better but that would mean i'll have more and more burners lol. i don't have one for sale at this time but if i knew people would buy them it would be easier for me to know i had something to do with all the ones i make. i would probably sell them for about $25-30ish a piece.

let me know if anyone is interested and i'll keep you up to date with how they go...

    here is the first one:
