    i plugged the 3.5mm ipod jack into the ext speaker port on the back of the cb and ran it through the deck and it sounded fine through the truck speakers. but when i went back to the cb's speaker i could hardly even hear the weather channel, and when i have the volume and squelch all the way up i can hardly even hear static.

    its like the speaker in the cb is underspowered. could having the 2 power wires in one fuse be doing it? i think one wire is just a constant though. they are both tapped in to the cig lighter

    it shows the wires going into 2 different fuses. maybe ill try that. other than the cig lighter what fuses can i use? i dont really have many there. can i use one of the ecu 15 fuses? and i grounded it the same place ben did

    I wouldn't use an ECU wire for power go straight to the battery and avoid and AC powered wires like speakers and the the alternator wires

    The craftsmen meters that cost over $60 are actually pretty good for their price. Just don't get a snapoff or blue point POS. Fluke FTW... Although I use a meter daily so my opinion dosen't count :p
