Help U-Joint replacement

    Help i need a step by step on how to remove my rear drive shaft and replace u-joint on a 06 prerunner . Do i need to take of the hole drive shaft plus the bearing carrier? Help please all help will be greatly appreciated

    K&N intake, Boston Acoustic SL 60 6.5 components up front, Rockford Power T16 6.5 in rear, Pioneer P4100 HU, Soon to be Pioneer Prs 4200f
    First mark everything so upon reinstsllation everything goes togther the same as it came out.
    Next unbolt the driveshaft from the rear diff and unbolt the carrier bearing, two bolts
    Slide the drive shaft out of the input shaft and work on it in a much more comfortable area.
    I recommend a ball joint press to remove the ujoints, the one autozone has has the perfect sized fittings to easily press the ujoints out.
    Press back in and reinstall

    Yes , remove the whole thing . I think it's 4 bolts in the front and 4 in the rear. Plus the two carrier barring ones . It's easier than it looks .

    Never mind about the 4 bolts on the front. You have a pre runner .

    Your prolly right i have the prerunner, hes in Guam so id guess 4x4

    Thanks EVERYONE ALL IS GOOD AND SOLVED THE CARRIER SQUICKER BY ALINNING THE CARRIER IT WASENT CENTERED I GUESS IT MOVED. ANYWAY THANKS TO EVERYONE REALLY APPRECIATE IT
